Vertigo is a visual exploration of overloading information onto users and quantifying the senses as a means to satirize the bombardment of data we often find ourselves overwhelmed by. How do modern modes of information transmission affect our psyche? Are we more informed or more fragmented?

MAP4VCU is a collaborative project created in a human-centered design course by classmates Inho Park, Chelsee Sahonero, and myself. We wanted to solve the issue of trip planning for new students on the VCU campus and sought to do so by creating a more accessible source of information.
Understanding that there was no reason to reinvent already existing services over the course of a single semester it was decided the best course of action would to be provide already existing site for a bike paths, bike parking, and car parking maps. The main component designed by our team was the "RVA Transit Options" Tab.

We exist in an era where information is extremely easy to access. While this can be a good thing, the information we encounter in our daily lives can be easily manipulated or entirely fabricated. Therefore, it is important that people are aware of strategies to avoid misinformation.
However, with the creation of digital media, the constant bombardment of information can become difficult to navigate. This satirical publication emphasizes the danger of the absolute faith people have in information provided by authorities, media outlets, or social media. It also graphically displays the black hole of never-ending information we encounter in our lives.
